Busy, Busy, Busy

I sure had a full calendar this past week. It was full of play dates and quality time with some friends I haven't seen for some time. It all began last Tuesday, when I took a surprise trip with Nate Doggy. We took a long car that travels on the tracks. I had some trouble figuring out where we were going, very unusual smells on those cars!! We got off after about 15 minutes and I found the surprise, it was my best buddy and master Marie-Louise. She usually meets me at the apartment, but not that day. It's always fun to see her, she has a big inviting smile on her face that I just can't wait to lick off. We took a bit of a stroll and went to a doggie park that I had never been to. After running around, marking my scent and destroying a ball I found in the park, I caught whiff of a familiar smell. I couldn't quite place it, but then I saw another Pharaoh Hound strutting around and I knew instantly it was my sister Pharin. Two surprises in one day! I had a great time with my sister, we wrestled, ran and wrestled some more. She is a quick little gal and very persistent. Once she locks those choppers on me, it's tough to wiggle out. I can't wait to see her again.

On Thursday I then hung out with Betzy, a pal of Marie-Louise. We had a great time. She's one of the best g*d damn bone holders I've ever met. My jaws are hurting just thinking about her grip. She also knew the way to my heart....right through the belly. Plenty of treats for Pedro. I didn't even realize Nate Dog was gone till he woke me up from my afternoon snooze. The final big day came on Saturday. I hosted a dinner party and invited Nate, Marie-Louise, Åsa, Niclaus and baby Nora. The party was great fun, but to be honest I'm not really sure what happened. It was my understanding that the host of the party gets to eat at the big table with all the guests. I had my toast all ready, but I wasn't even allowed in the room! Oh well, I'll have to remember that next time I see those squeaky shoes lying around. I ended up getting loads of attention and had some quality time with my buddy Nora. We have the same taste in toys you see. She has just learned how to walk, so I need to be careful when playing with her. My philosophy is keep it to a few face licks and the sharing of toys. She has plastic nipple she sure loves and she even let me taste it...
